GEOINT Supervisor

A KBR Supervisor is an essential part of the company’s leadership structure and is essential to attract and retain qualified, experienced mission-focused talent.

As a supervisor, you have a dual role as a manager for the corporation as well as a champion for all the employees within the team. The supervisor’s primary responsibility is to be a champion for the employees they supervise. You should engage regularly and build a cohesive and productive team working environment. You will work on Program, directly for the customer, ideally with the people you supervise. When the Program gives feedback, you will respond with action to reward or correct the situation. It is fundamentally important that your team is effective and motivated to complete the customer’s mission. You will work with Program Managers on tasks like work allocations, technical skillset alignments, staffing new positions, and strategic alignment of customer priorities with our own. You may work staffing tasks for proposals and program ramp-ups. You will work on development and learning plans for your employees based on mutual goal setting. You may choose to schedule off-site morale outings and one-on-ones on a regular basis to achieve an agile performance review approach. You will collaborate with the corporate functional areas, such as Human Resources, Security, Talent Acquisition and Contracts. You may be assigned 1 to 12 employees to supervise, depending on the business needs of the company.

The primary areas of responsibility for this Supervisor position are current and future GEOINT Contracts. You must be approved by the customer to work on the program.

Key Responsibilities 

Personnel Supervision 

  • Provide accessible leadership to the employee workforce on a daily basis 
  • Aid in developing, planning and implementing individual employee-focused career development plans 
  • Provide advice and counsel for training, leadership and career broadening opportunities/activities 
  • Demonstrate commitment by example to the workforce for corporate policies and procedures 
  • Provide support to employees during times of professional and personal crisis 
  • Participate in employee transition events, including; career mentoring, developing Position Descriptions and working with KBR Talent Acquisition to identify qualified candidates 

Management Support 

  • Recruit and interview candidates to fill current and projected vacancies 
  • Recommend personnel actions to OU Leadership  
  • Document employee performance recognition for exceptional performance through KBROne awards and as part of the continuous performance reviews 
  • Provide bi-annual summaries and associated compensation recommendations for assigned Team  
  • Manage the Utilization Rate (UR) of assigned Team personnel  
  • Communicate the status of Team members to OU leadership  
  • Provide business intelligence and insight in a competitive environment 
  • Support Business Development/Capture Proposal effort support  
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the OU’s technical capabilities and how they relate to achieving corporate strategic objectives 
  • Identify intra-OU and inter-Sector opportunities to leverage skills and lessons across the Company

Required Qualifications

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI with a current Polygraph
  • Education: Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a relevant technical field or business
  • Management: Small team management expertise 
  • Coaching: Demonstrated Mentoring/Coaching skills for a wide variety of employees at multiple experience levels 
  • Program Management: Understanding of Program Management, including LCATs and FTEs
  • Experience: Human Capital management experience 
  • Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  • 3+ years of experience in the Customer Domain 
  • Proven experience within the KBR corporation

  • Education: Advanced degree
