Major Duties:
- The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at New Boston Space Force Station, New Hampshire is searching for Program Manager (NH-0301-03, GS 12/13 equivalent). Description: Are you ready to lead a global team at the forefront of space operations? As a Program Manager for the U.S. Space Force, you will be the senior civilian leader responsible for managing the critical infrastructure and personnel at four satellite ground stations located in New Hampshire, Greenland, the United Kingdom, and Florida. This is not just a management job; it's an opportunity to directly contribute to U.S. and Allied objectives by ensuring our Satellite Control Network runs flawlessly. In this role, you will guide, mentor, and supervise a dedicated team of technical and support professionals across multiple international sites, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and experienced program manager who excels at connecting the dots between technical operations, budgets, contracts, and mission success. You bring a bachelor's degree (or equivalent specialized experience) and several years of progressively responsible experience in program management, operations planning, contract oversight, or a similar field. You're comfortable managing complex, long-range planning cycles, navigating organizational structures, and translating technical requirements into actionable budgets and contracts. Experience as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or in a similar contract management role is highly desirable, as is familiarity with government budgeting, fiscal planning, and performance reporting systems. You're a strong communicator who can represent Squadron leadership in high-stakes meetings, build consensus across multiple stakeholder groups, and mentor or guide junior team members. Above all, you're someone who thrives on complexity, stays calm under pressure, and finds satisfaction in keeping mission-critical operations running seamlessly behind the scenes. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of Satellite Control Network, Defense Information Systems Agency and Global Positioning System mission's administrative and industrial support management, Real Property Management, power production and distribution, large system Uninterruptable Power Supplies, Environmental Management and Logistics Management. 2. Demonstrated negotiating skills/knowledge of Support Agreement Management with both Federal and Foreign agencies and local and state governments. 3. Knowledge of personnel management, manpower, safety and security practices and procedures. 4. Knowledge of acquisition planning and contracting methodologies sufficient to provide a critical analysis with a recommended course of action on a wide variety of contractual matters. 5. Knowledge and ability to manage communications hardware/software modifications for the Satellite Control Network. 6. Ability to collaborate at appropriate levels with organizations both inside and outside Delta, FIELDCOM, Air Force/Space Force, DoD and its agencies, the Federal Government, and international partners. 7. Ability to research, analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures in a variety of situations and recommend timely and economical solutions. 8. Ability to encourage new ideas and innovations; manage human, financial and information resources strategically and build coalitions to achieve common goals. 9. Ability to persuade others to accept recommendations, work toward an agreement, and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions. 10. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 11. Ability to organize work, set priorities, and determine resource requirements; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes. 12. Ability to identify problems and use sound judgment and decisions to generate and evaluate alternatives and make recommendations
