Purpose & General Responsibilities of the Position
The Geographical Cluster Security & Business Continuity (S&BC) Manager for Mainland China is responsible for managing Security, Business Continuity Management (BCM), and incident response across Mainland China. The role provides strategic direction, guidance, and subject‑matter leadership to local operations and/or Security and BC Business Partners, ensuring implementation of corporate standards and frameworks as defined by Central (CEN) and Regional leadership. The role advises leadership, operations and customers, drives compliance, ensures capability development, and enables delivery against the Predict–Prevent–Respond–Return resilience framework.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all S&BC matters, including customer requirements.
• Provide visible S&BC leadership across Mainland China.
• Roll out the Security & Business Resilience (S&BR) standardization and management framework. Ensure Duty of Care (DoC) security protocols are implemented and monitored.
• Lead threat and risk assessments; deliver mitigation advice.
• Ensure compliance with external standards (C‑TPAT, TAPA, IATA, AEO).
• Support Illicit Cargo and Contraband initiatives.
• Ensure BIA, BCP, and Crisis Management plans are conducted, maintained, and tested.
• Deliver timely incident management support and accurate reporting.
• Mentor and upskill S&BC partners/local resources.
• Maintain KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards.
• Manage SGA budgets within limits.
Learning Opportunities in the Position
• Build advanced expertise in security risk management, business continuity, and crisis response.
• Strengthen capability in global compliance regimes (TAPA, IATA, C‑TPAT, AEO).
• Knowledge of supply chain management and design.

• Compliance with S&BC standards and frameworks.
• High‑quality BIA, BCP, and crisis management programs.
• Demonstrated capability uplift across S&BC resources.
• Successful rollout of security solutions supporting S&BC.
Who We Are Looking For
• 6+ years of Security experience at country, area, or regional level.
• 4+ years in Business Continuity at a similar scale.
• Education/certification in Security & BC management, risk or crisis management preferably.
• Strong strategic partnership and stakeholder management skills.
• Inspirational leadership and coaching ability.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• High integrity, resilience, and adaptability.
