The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive supply and fleet support for all Space Base Delta 2 units. Manages the procurement of a wide range of materials/services, from standard supplies for daily operations to complex technical and firefighting equipment. Provides specialized supply operation support for unique, mission-critical equipment and parts

Major Duties:

  • Manages the procurement of necessary supplies and services to ensure the timely fulfillment of the organization's operational needs. Maintains warehouse/ storage areas and conducts scheduled and non-scheduled periodic, semi-annual, cyclic, and special physical inventories $7.8M (+/-) in property, non-expendable and durable supplies in use, on loan, in storage, or awaiting disposition. Performs comprehensive screening of purchase requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and the approval of all prerequisite forms before initiating procurement actions. Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.

Qualifications: In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for General Supply Series 2001 GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have three (3) years of general experience with at least one (1) year of general experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. General experience must include knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions; knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods; knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transaction in an automated supply system; knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for test operations, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent critical shortages and other special items; knowledge of office automation software procedures and functions keys to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic drafts, and to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions; knowledge of supply functions, operations, program requirements, and work methods; knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transaction in an automated supply system. Intensive knowledge of local supply requirements to ensure supply support for test operations, overhaul, repair, or other operations for urgent critical shortages and other special items. Ability to read, interpret, and apply applicable reference material, such as supply regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, orders, etc., to accomplish tasks and resolve complex supply problems; ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements. Ability to receive, screen, review, and verify supply documents and resolve discrepancies. Knowledge of office automation software procedures and functions keys to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, to edit and reformat electronic drafts, and to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
