About The Position
The General Supervisor Operations supervises management personnel responsible for the safe, environmentally responsible, efficient, economical, and conservative operation of mechanical and electrical equipment at Sioux Energy Center.

Key responsibilities include:
● Provide overall coordination with Maintenance, Technical Support, Energy Management, and Administration in the operation of the generating units.
● Provide overall coordination for special projects; including Major Outages, Forced Outages, Engineering Projects, and operational improvements such as heat rate and boiler tuning.
● Supervise, train, and appraise first line supervisors in Control Rooms.
● Maintain a productive working relationship with Local 148, fully leveraging the bargaining agreement, and participate in the grievance process as necessary.
● Ensure a safe working environment by working with plant leadership to identify opportunities to improve employee safety performance and working conditions, and enhance job safety briefings.
● Coordinate, Communicate, and Direct all critical operational activities taking place on all shifts during the week.
● Document, Validate, and Declare unit capabilities for the current day and day ahead.
● Coordinate WPA requirements and standards for the Operations and Maintenance departments.
● Responsible for the use and modification of operating procedures.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Six or more years of relevant power plant experience is required (e.g. Operations). Four or more years of directly relevant power plant experience (in addition to the required six years) may be considered in lieu of a degree. Three or more years of supervisory experience is required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Excellent leadership, organization, decision making, human relations, and communication skills.

Compensation Range:

$128,700.00 - $199,500.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
