DC General Specialist – Barry Manzella Department

Start time: (Must be flexible and willing to work all shifts as business needs require & willing to work in any relevant department when business needs require, or overtime is needed) Core hours will be 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday

Internal Candidates: 1) In good standing in current position; 2) In current role for a minimum of 6 months; 3) 2 years McKesson experience in the DC preferred; 4) Must have a supervisor recommendation 5) must have an excellent attendance record.

Overview:

This will be a high visibility, development focused role with the unique opportunity to see and work in almost every department throughout the distribution center as you build your skills and master each specialist task. Training and core tasks will start within our cold chain area and expand as business needs change. We’re seeking a candidate that’s looking to actively grow their career and skillset.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary cold chain specialist during flu/vaccine peak season (Oct – Jan) to include but not limited to; induction, receiving, putaway, picking and packing (refrigerator and freezer)
  • Support the Projects Team with DC process improvement projects
  • Work in conjunction with the DC Training Team including but not limited to LMS & DPMO improvements/coaching and other high priority training needs
  • Support the DC’s Inventory Team and help drive inventory accuracy and efficient slotting
  • Help ensure customer returns are processed within defined time limits
  • Drive efficient outbound order volume by managing replenishments and helping to clear roadblocks for the replenishment team
  • Other tasks as assigned by Dept. Supervisor and/or Sr. Manager of Operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of related experience and 6 months McKesson experience
  • Candidate must be able to learn and perform outbound and inbound functions in which they are not already proficient.
  • Should be able to operate or become certified on all MHE equipment including stock picker, reach truck, and a powered pallet jack.

Critical skills:

  • Critical thinking skills – root cause analysis
  • Basic Math – add/subtract/multiply/divide
  • Good Communication skills: Speak with individuals and groups to explain processes and train employees in accordance with SOP’s
  • PC use – basic data entry, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • E1/RF web – look up product info, locations, cycle count history

Education:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred.
