Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a General Manufacturing Manager 2 based out of Baltimore, MD.
You will be responsible for the direct supervision of approximately 10-20 represented (union) employees and processes in a Manufacturing environment. You have demonstrated leadership skills and ability, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
1st Shift Hours - 6:00am - 3:30pm
What You’ll Get to Do:
Assign and manage represented Machine Operators/Machinists and/or Computer Numerical Control Programmers to maximize efficiency and achieve target productive yields
Manage Machining Process – Milling, Turning, EDM, etc
Manage the use of consumables to achieve budget targets
Work independently across organizations to deliver products on schedule
Perform required SAP/MES transactions to manage Team
Implement our process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule
Provide directions to employees utilizing management guidelines and general policies
Drive employee efficiency
Meet product cost and schedule targets
Manage the area to produce quality products
Engage employees to achieve their highest potential
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of professional experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment; 12 years of work experience in a Manufacturing, Production or Engineering environment may be considered in lieu of degree requirement
Experience managing/leading multiple teams with multiple priorities/deadlines
Experience working with chemicals and adhering to safety compliance standards
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance is required
U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Project and/or Personnel management experience
Experience working in a represented (union) environment
Experience with SAP/MES
Experience with Lean Manufacturing
Experience with Environmental Safety procedures/policies

Primary Level Salary Range: $115,600.00 - $173,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
