SUMMARY:

The General Manager Production is a pivotal role responsible for the total operation of the assigned business area. This position ensures the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in alignment with company policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Leadership and Training: Provide supervisors with information, materials, and training to produce the highest quality product possible.
• Monitoring and Compliance: Oversee records for attendance, payroll, production, safety, ergonomics, and TQM. Ensure compliance with USDA, Federal, and State Regulations. Work closely with USDA to maintain standards.
• Innovation and Development: Promote new ideas and encourage development from Team Members.
• Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations, analyze non-routine problems, and offer solutions to the Plant Manager. Ensure a smooth start-up of plant operations and maintain a seamless transition from farm to plant by partnering with grow-out management.
• Comprehensive Management: Maintain entire operation of the assigned area, including safety, production yields, quality, Team Member relations, turnover and absenteeism, discipline, payroll, staffing, and line speeds. Ensure the supply of wholesome products for production.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: Education beyond high school including special training, vocational school, and/or college courses, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3 plus years general knowledge of production techniques, procedures, product yields and quality, and USDA and OSHA regulations. Processing management experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.

Travel: As required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.
