THE JOB:

The Restaurant General Manager for The Corner Store in The Cosmopolitan is a dynamic, high‑energy leader who delivers a refined, elevated dining experience. With a strong presence on the floor, they set and cultivate a distinctive, upscale vibe—fostering a culture of hospitality, engagement, and excellence for both guests and team members.

This role oversees all restaurant operations, providing leadership to the management and service teams while upholding MGM Resorts’ luxury service standards. The General Manager drives operational and financial performance, including maximizing covers, optimizing reservations, and achieving revenue goals—all while ensuring the energy and vibe of the space remain vibrant, polished, and guest-focused.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Owns, leads and oversees daily restaurant operations, labor productivity, scheduling, inventory control, guest service standards, and execution and development of marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability. Co-own (with Executive Chef) the restaurant’s business plan and represent the restaurant in divisional, property or corporate meetings

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high‑performing team, fostering an environment that prioritizes the employee and guest experience

  • Drive financial and operational performance, including revenue growth, covers, and reservation channel optimization

  • Own staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance management

  • Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, pricing initiatives, training programs, directives, menus, rules and regulations for the restaurant staff. Owns restaurant’s execution of F&B and/or company-wide initiatives and programs

  • Ensure the highest standards of service, facility presentation, and brand alignment

  • Maintain the highest standards of health, sanitation and cleanliness within all areas of Beverage. Responsible for completion of all company compliance training by the restaurant staff

  • Maintains excellent knowledge of venue’s food & beverage products, menu items and equipment used to perform duties


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

  • Previous experience managing employees under a collective bargaining agreement preferred

  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, balancing operational precision with an authentic, memorable guest experience

  • An uncompromising eye for detail

  • Someone who embraces the productive tension of learning and takes on new challenges with curiosity and think both strategically and tactically

  • Experience executing high-profile restaurant or venue openings within a luxury hospitality environment
