JOB DESCRIPTION:

Summary

The CRM GM, Japan is accountable to create, direct and lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies for overall sales and business performance, including profit and loss responsibility.  The incumbent is accountable for full business P&L management for the CRM division for Japan. Establish and execute short-term and long-term strategies to drive market leadership. Achieve revenue and profit targets. Foster strong relationships with key decision makers within the Japan markets, including customers, KOLs, key government agencies, industry groups, and others. Develop strong organizational culture and infrastructure to support long-term success, and foster the development of key talent.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for annual and long-term CRM business results in Japan.
  • Develop and execute market strategies aimed at maximizing market share, promoting prolific new product launches and building brand awareness and customer loyalty.
  • Execute business strategies to grow the business as per the strategic plan, and meet annual sales quotas and profitability for each division of responsibility
  • Create and execute innovative sales plans to meet annual sales targets and provide a foundation for long-term business growth
  • Ensure that all the business, sales and marketing activities are legally and ethically compliant without compromising our code of conduct
  • Develop customer relationships with the key opinion leaders
  • Select, develop, motivate and retain a high performing sales team
  • Coach and develop the team through successful people management.
  • Proactive communication with other functional teams and leaders within the organization to achieve a common goal and objective.
  • Demonstrate a high level of energy with self-starting attributes serving as the personification to perform successfully in a fast pace, challenging corporate environment

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in biomedical / medical science or related essential
  • Additional tertiary qualifications in business management is preferable

Experience/ Skills

  • Proven business leader with more than 12 years’ relevant experience, preferably in the medical device industry
  • Possess an excellent track record in achieving aggressive business plans.
  • Strategic planning and analytical skills – proven ability to identify business challenges and propose action plans.
  • Innovative and creative – demonstrate ability to leverage consumer insights to identify and evaluate creative ideas, focusing on those that will create sustainable competitive advantage
  • High-energy, self-starter who is assertive, possesses a high degree of self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, exhibits a bias for action, demonstrates good executive presence, and has a high degree of commitment to meeting deadlines and objectives
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with all levels of management, the sales force and customers
