About you
As General Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of a commercial building portfolio, including operations, financial activities and construction and project management. In collaboration with property management and our client, the General Manager’s goal is to enhance long-term asset value through proactive and innovative management. Responsibilities include capital planning and project management, technical advisory services, assessing building operations, ensuring repair and maintenance programs are effective and actively managing operations staff development.
In this role, you will:
Deliver excellent customer service at all levels of organization and with all external partners.
Ensure compliance with tenant leases, regulatory items, and management contract.
Establish and maintain strong and positive relationships with all clients, property tenants, vendors, and contractors.
Be responsible for annual budget preparation and tenant reconciliations for review and approval by senior management and ownership.
Prepare and review monthly and/or quarterly ownership reports. Understand the property’s financial performance relative to owner’s goals and objectives.
Review contracts, invoices and rent up schedules.
Supervise and develop the property management team/staff
Project Management of the tenant improvement construction and capital improvement projects.
Partner with ownership, marketing and leasing teams to assist in leasing efforts.
Oversee and participate in the preparation of annual adjustments/reconciliations for portfolio.
Enhance the property’s value while ensuring the property is competitive in the marketplace.
Assist Client in developing and implementing master plans and achieving present and future business goals.
What you bring:
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience within commercial property management.
Provides high degree of professional customer service to both internal and external parties.
Ability to work well under pressure with strong personalities.
Excellent client relations skills with both clients and tenants.
Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Strong understanding of financial reports, including variance of actual vs. budget numbers.
Experience and understanding of project management related to tenant improvement and capital expenditure projects
Strong understanding of lease agreements and leasing terms.
Experience managing sites of a historical nature and working with NYC local Laws and commissions in regard to proper compliance is strongly preferred.
General understanding of building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
Commercial real estate accreditation such CPM or RPA a plus.
Construction and project management experience preferred.
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience is required.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $174,744 - $240,000
This position is eligible for an annual bonus, based on company and individual performance.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
