This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for a General Ledger Accounting Manager
The General Ledger Accounting Managerwill report directly to the US Global Accounting Director and will be responsible for several areas within the General Ledger function, the month-end process, and the management reporting package. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptive to changes. We are looking for a candidate with a “can-do” attitude who is willing to roll up their sleeves for hands-on work. You will assist our finance function in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting while driving modern efficiency through technology.
Responsibilities:
Ledger Oversight: Prepare and review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, including marketing accruals, sales commission accruals, and other key accounts.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; assist with regulatory filings as applicable. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close.
Innovation & AI:Actively insert an automation process mindset into all AI-driven initiatives to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
Collaboration: Work closely with the international accounting team to support the accounting close process for international subsidiaries.
Reports and Analysis: Assist in the preparation of fluctuation analyses and perform financial statement analytics, providing relevant explanations for fluctuations.
Project & Process Improvement:Lead and participate in projects relating to process improvement from both a business and systems standpoint.
Audits and Reviews:Support external audits and reviews by providing period-over-period fluctuation analysis, supporting schedules, and accounting reconciliations. Interface directly with external auditors and pull selections as required.
Compliance:Assist in the implementation and documentation of internal controls and SOX requirements. Research accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Other Duties: Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned.
To succeed in this position, you must have the following:
10+ years of experience in the General Ledger function with experience managing people or subordinates
Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA designation is highly preferred.
Proficiency or experience using NetSuite or other large-scale ERP systems is a plus.
Demonstrated high level of commitment, reliability and availability
Willing to work the night shift to align with US operation
