General Ledger Accountant

To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to support accounting activities for Bulgaria and the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Daily accounting activities
• Month-end closing in accordance with US GAAP and Bulgarian GAAP
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Account reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet and P&L accounts
• Support in consolidation processes according to US GAAP
• Coordination with internal teams, HQ and external stakeholders (auditors, tax advisors)
• Participation in the development and improvement of accounting processes
• Documentation of accounting processes and internal procedures

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in General Ledger
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Bulgarian GAAP
• Basic tax knowledge (Bulgaria)
• Experience with month-end closing processes
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
• Hands-on and proactive approach
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
