Job Family Definition:

Responsible for planning and arranging the labor, schedules, equipment and diagnostics required for testing and evaluating both standard and special devices. Specifies tests to be performed and provides test area with parameters for sample testing. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment and diagnostics, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

What You’ll Do -

• Understand requirements provided in Solution document and design test-plans based on it.

• Execute the testcases, perform debugging of the issues encountered and raise Problem report.

• Automate the testcases in python/toby framework.

• Collabrate with the team-members and across team for issues, knowledge sharing etc.

What You need to bring -

• Eager to learn new things and build required competency.

• Interwork with the team members and complete the scheduled tasks provided.

• Interested in writing Automation scripts which will be transitioned to regression.

• Learn and help others in the team whenever required to achieve the goals.

• Work independently when required and complete the tasks.

• Strong fundamental knowledge of L2 & L3 protocols.

• Ethernet fundamentals, VLAN, ARP, IPv4/v6 addressing & subnetting.

• MPLS, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, L3VPN protocols knowledge.

• Creating System Test Plans and Automation Scripts.

• Clear communication on test results and gaps.

• Networking Certifications are a plus.

• Ability to work as a member of a multifunctional team.

• Written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-starter with ability to work independently, can-do attitude.

• Collaborative team player, relationship building skills.
  
  Desired Skills:

• Design test plans based on solution requirements.

• Execute test cases and create automation scripts.

• Identify, troubleshoot and document issues and work with appropriate engineering resources to close problems.

• Data-Center fabric Architecture knowledge with EVPN/VXLAN.

• Functional Testing or Solution Testing experience with debugging skills.
