Major Duties:

In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience performing safety, reliability, and engineering analysis for LNG terminals or peak-shavers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience. This position is a Mobile Work position. Mobile work is characterized by routine and regular travel to conduct work in customer or other worksites as opposed to a single authorized alternative worksite. Examples of mobile work include site audits, site inspections, investigations, property management, and work performed while commuting, traveling between worksites, or on Temporary Duty (TDY). Due to the nature of the work and the mission of the Office of Energy Projects, mobile workers must remain within driveable commuting distance of the designated FERC Regional Area. Houston Region – Mobile Agreement Duty Station must be within 350 miles of the following area: Lake Charles, LA.
