Job Summary: You will serve as a GENERAL BUSINESS AND INDUSTRY SPECIALIST in the SYSTEMS ACQUISITION GROUP AND COST & SCHEDULE ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, MD.

Major Duties:

  • You will demonstrate expertise in organization management primarily focused on Manpower/Employee Development.
  • You will manage the Cost and Schedule Analysis Department’s Library in compliance with DoD and Navy policy.
  • You will develop business/technical analyses and/or participate in studies addressing complex problems.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, drawing conclusions, and developing recommendations associated with resource planning, training, security and safety, information technology, procurement, and space/facilities management.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, drawing conclusions, and developing recommendations associated with administrative functions associated with personnel management (e.g. recruiting, hiring, promotions, recognition, and resignations).
  • You will establish and maintain performance metrics covering general business areas.
  • You will work to improve Department business analysis methods, tools, databases, and processes.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying fact-finding, analytical, and problem solving methods and techniques to fulfill various data call requests; 2) Identifying issues under purview and recommending action or solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness; 3) Planning, scheduling and conducting projects and studies which includes researching and identifying data required, preparing staff reports and delivering briefings to management; 4) Managing administrative support systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files, and other documentation in addition to reviewing administrative audit and investigative reports to determine appropriate action required and interpret policy guidance for management; 5) Utilizing management information systems, office automation systems and processes, and computer applications in support of functional area operations; and 6) Delivering complex, detailed information in visual display so that senior level decision-makers can quickly understand the essence of the analysis / information.
