Key Responsibilities:
In our continued effort to bring change WVPNG has entered into a partnership project with UN Women, local NGO Femili PNG and CSO Magna Carta to building on the gains of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative to Eliminate Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in PNG, UN Women, UNFPA and UNOPS (Agencies) have commenced implementation of a joint initiative entitled “Soim Wokabaut: Gender-Based Violence Referral Pathways Programme”, financed under the Neighborhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI Global Europe).
The purpose of this role is to provide technical guidance from gender and social inclusion perspectives into key project outcomes, and integrating planned GEDSI activities, particularly in the realms of gender, disability, and social inclusion. Furthermore, the role necessitates ensuring the project's adequate support through organizing COH Workshops with facilitators, supporting capacity building for local NGO, FBO & CSO Partners.
GEDSI Integration and Stakeholder Engagement
Ensure ongoing implementation on the Project
Ensure planned GEDSI activities with the project are executed in a timely manner.
Continue establishing and meeting partners as regularly planned. Representing Project in GEDSI stakeholders meeting and special event (20 days of Human Rights Activism)
Support GEDSI Coordinator coordinate implementation of gender technical program and provide field insight to support in accordance with WV PNG’s gender technical program to Area Program and Project
Monthly reporting and budget acquittals as scheduled
Ensure integration and implementation of gender and social inclusion with CSOs, FBOs, & WROs
Provide support to the development and implementation of planned monthly action plan with a gender and social inclusion perspective.
Participate in the activism/advocacy/awareness program at the community, district, provincial, and national level when required.
Collaborate with and support (local resource persons) other women-based groups to report and share learnings on main GEDSI indicators at the local context from a Do-No-Harm perspective.
Coordinate with GEDSI Coordinator to provide support and capacity building to World Vision staff and partners including other stakeholders on key project models such as the channels of hope for gender-models.
Gender and social inclusion integration in Communications & Advocacy with Rugby Clubs
In consultation with National Office and WV Support Office to monitor GEDSI activities, results and impact measurement of programs from a gender and social inclusion perspective.
Close collaboration with Program Quality Cross cutting M&E coordinator and the Project Team and Project Partners for GEDSI analysis and facilitation using do no harm approaches.
