What the Role Entails

Lightspeed Studios is looking for a Game Art Intern to join our accomplished team of artists. As a Game Art Intern, you will play a role in bringing video game art to life using existing pipelines. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the full game development process, creating high-quality 3D game assets of all genres and styles;
• Cooperate with art directors, animators, concept artists, VFX artists and game designers to deliver well according to production schedules approved by management;
• Ability to create quality models from original drawings in realistic style;
  Support the concept team to effectively validate pre-design work;
• Proactively seek feedback and share your experience and knowledge freely;
• Effectively improve the quality of the representation in the engine within the technical constraints of the game engine.

Who We Look For

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from art/game design program;
• Portfolio demonstrating 3D art skills;
• Able to drive development efficiency and quality with an overall development awareness;
• Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, or equivalent);

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $20.77 to $38.08 per hour. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, full-time interns are also eligible to enroll in the Company-sponsored medical plan.
