Team Overview:

The Alternatives Client Services (ACS) team provides end-to-end support for BlackRock’s private market investment offerings, including hedge funds, private credit, private equity, infrastructure, and real estate. This role sits within Product Lifecycle & Investor Servicing and is based in the Seattle office. As subject matter experts, ACS partners closely with the business to deliver strong a client experience across the product lifecycle, including investor onboarding for custom and commingled products, ongoing investor servicing and maintenance, report distribution, and Transfer Agency oversight.

 There are also opportunities to contribute to strategic projects, including automation efforts, platform enhancements, and integration of newly acquired business.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Lead client onboarding, fund launches, and capital activity, partnering with Transfer Agents to ensure accurate investor setup and data integrity.

  • Oversee end-to-end operational controls and signoffs across onboarding, capital activity, change events, and investor reporting.

  • Deliver a consistent global onboarding experience, managing the pipeline from pre-win through close with clear communication and timely escalation.

  • Manage document review, cash flow activities, and service provider oversight in partnership with Legal, portfolio teams, and third parties.

  • Drive process improvements to reduce operational risk, support scale, and align with evolving product and business needs.

Leadership / people-management:

  • Manage and develop a junior team, providing day-to-day oversight, coaching, and guidance to ensure consistent execution and high-quality client outcomes.

  • Oversee daily operational activities, setting priorities, monitoring workloads, and ensuring timely completion of onboarding and servicing deliverables.

  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex client, operational, or service provider issues, driving resolution through clear ownership and cross-functional coordination.

  • Establish clear accountability and operating standards across the team, reinforcing risk awareness, controls, and adherence to global processes.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership presence by proactively identifying issues, communicating transparently with stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across workflows.

You have:

  • 5–8 years of experience in financial services or investment management, with exposure to private markets, securities, and limited offerings preferred.

  • Proven people manager with experience leading and developing teams, providing day-to-day oversight, prioritization, and escalation support.

  • Strong understanding of business operations, financial principles, and legal frameworks supporting investment products and services.

  • Client-facing experience with the ability to manage complex inquiries, build trusted relationships, and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Highly organized and analytical, with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to manage competing priorities, solve complex problems, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.

For Seattle, WA Only the salary range for this position is USD$127,500.00 - USD$185,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
