GENERAL PURPOSE
The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for assembling furniture products and related components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports customer demand by following lean manufacturing principles to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. The Manufacturing Associate follows standard work practices, collaborates with team members to resolve issues, and participates in continuous improvement initiatives. Cross-training in additional departments is required to support operational flexibility and business needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assemble furniture products and components according to established work instructions and quality standards.
Read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, including work orders, policies, and procedures.
Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards and departmental safety guidelines.
Inspect products and equipment as required; identify and report quality, safety, or equipment issues to the department supervisor.
Rotate among departmental workstations and perform at least 75% of the jobs within the department at the required cycle time.
Participate in continuous improvement activities within the department or across the organization.
Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules and customer demand.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance based on assigned work schedules.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Education/Experience
One of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency

Skills and Abilities
Basic math skills, including counting, addition, and subtraction
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other departments
Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to a dynamic manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
Frequent use of hands for handling, gripping, and assembling components
Ability to reach with hands and arms throughout the workday
Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds; frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively and maintain visual acuity, with or without correction
