To support Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Project Managers with a range of tasks related to furniture and equipment management, including planning, procurement, and installation.Job Description:
Description of Duties and Tasks
Assisting in furniture and equipment selection, specification, procurement and warranty processes
Reviewing and organizing FF&E documentation, including specifications, drawings and vendor quotes
Conducting inventory assessments and updating FF&E records.
Coordinating with vendors for product samples, pricing, and delivery timelines.
Assisting in space planning and layout development using design software.
Supporting project coordination efforts, including scheduling installations, developing punch lists, and tracking orders.
Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, and budget analysis related to FF&E projects
Conduct field verifications, including measurements and photos.
Create furniture plans for existing spaces.
FF&E Intern may also be asked to collaborate with other interns and construction project managers on work.
Knowledge
Must possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodation, that the essential functions of the job can be preformed
Possess a basic understanding of Interior Design concepts, including space planning, material selection and furniture specifications.
Basic knowledge of reading architectural drawings.
Understand the various stages of a design project, from conceptual development and schematic design to construction documentation and project execution.
