OVERVIEW: 

Join a team dedicated to extending credit products to existing and potential clients of State Street. Your work will contribute to maintaining and growing our relationships – the heart and soul of State Street’s strategy.

The Global Credit Finance (GCF) division is made up of more than 150 employees in various locations across the globe.  It provides a range of credit lending products to potential and existing clients of State Street. The business extends credit to clients from a wide range of products and industries including Fund Finance, Private Credit, Commercial Real Estate, Leveraged Loans, Municipal Finance and Stable Value Wrap.

An incoming VP on the team should possess a positive attitude with strong structuring, credit, negotiation and legal LMA documentation skills. The successful candidate will have an ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to work on participations in syndicated, bilateral or agented credit facilities.    

      MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • As a Fund Finance Loan Officer; structure, underwrite, negotiate and manage credit arrangements for new business and renewals of existing credit arrangements for assigned transactions.
  • Provide effective portfolio oversight and management reporting.
  • Communicate effectively on specific business initiatives and client transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Credit Risk, Legal, GCF Loan Operations and GCF Middle Office on various issues.

REQUIREMENTS: lending industry knowledge and experience in Fund Finance structuring, legal documentation and credit underwriting.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Maths; MBA or CFA a plus but not required.    
  • Minimum of 10+ years of Credit/Fund Finance lending experience.
  • Credit Training a plus.

Skills/Knowledge 

  • Demonstrated experience in Credit and Fund Finance work.
  • Strong financial credit analysis, analytical, credit underwriting and problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise in LMA legal documentation.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and ability to present and explain complex transactions.
  • A positive attitude, a client service mindset and high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of EU and UK regulatory frameworks.
