Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Fund Administration, the role of Fund Analyst will be responsible for daily oversight of the NAV calculations of both the SLGI Mutual Funds and the SLF GIF Seg Fund products by our third party fund administrator. The Fund Analyst will also support distributions, tax functions, fund additions/changes, as well as supporting process improvement to gain efficiencies and control and other ad hoc projects.

What will you do?

• Fund accounting oversight, including daily NAV calculation monitoring of both Mutual Funds and Segregated Funds

• Support year-end distribution and tax processes for the funds

• Support fund changes: additions, terminations, mergers and related project work

• Project support, particularly as it relates to issues impacting our fund administrator

• HST blended rate support

• Initiate process improvements to drive out efficiencies and enhance the control environment

What you need to succeed?

• 2 years of experience in fund accounting/fund analyst role

• Strong analytical & financial reporting skills

• Advanced MS Excel skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively while managing multiple tasks

• Knowledge and experience with report writing tools

• Self-motivated and adaptable

• Education and experience in accounting, finance or other related discipline

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
