Major Accountabilities:
Address safety concerns related to the intended function of the product, including potential misuse, unintended operation, and environmental factors.
Implement measures to enhance the safety of the intended function and minimize the risk of hazardous situations.
Perform FMEA to systematically identify potential failure modes, their effects, and the likelihood of occurrence.
Develop validation and verification plans to ensure that safety requirements are adequately verified and validated.
Ensure compliance with relevant automotive safety standards and regulations, such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, and other industry-specific safety standards.
Ensure that safety requirements are clear, complete, consistent, and traceable to higher-level safety goals and objectives.
Support the development and integration of AUTOSAR-compliant software components, ensuring that safety requirements are adequately addressed.
Perform change impact analysis to assess the potential impact of proposed changes on safety-related functions, requirements, and architecture.
Design and analyze control systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of automotive systems and components.
Perform HARA to systematically identify hazards, assess their risks, and define safety goals and requirements.
Configure, optimize, and validate real-time operating systems for safety-critical applications in automotive systems.
Ensure that RTOS configurations meet safety requirements and standards for reliability, determinism, and fault tolerance.
Develop safety cases to provide evidence of the safety and reliability of automotive systems and components.
Evaluate safety cases to assess the adequacy and sufficiency of safety arguments, evidence, and assurance activities.
Use SysML for model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to capture, analyze, and design complex system architectures and behaviors.
Utilize Enterprise Architect for system modeling, architecture design, and requirements engineering in safety-critical projects.
Implement Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes and practices to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of automotive software and systems.
