JOB MISSION:

The D365 F&O PIM Functional Architect is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting Product Information Management capabilities within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (Supply Chain Management). This role partners closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and integration teams to ensure accurate, scalable, and compliant product data management across the enterprise.

The architect will lead functional design for product masters, variants, attributes, categories, lifecycle management, and integrations with upstream/downstream systems such as PLM, ERP extensions, eCommerce platforms, WMS Platforms and data hubs.

This role delivers value through the planning, design, and implementation of strategic, scalable, and responsive Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) solutions that drive business growth, expand market share, and strengthen brand equity and reputation. Your work will directly support New Balance’s goal of becoming a Top 3 Global Athletic Brand.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead requirements gathering workshops with business users (Merchandising, Product Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing).
  • Translate business requirements into functional design documents (FDDs) and solution blueprints for D365 F&O PIM.
  • Understand and Design end-to-end‑ product data models and define product lifecycle processes
  • Configure PIM-related modules and settings, Support configuration of number sequences, workflows, and security roles related to product data.
  • Collaborate with integration teams on interfaces with various internal and external applications and ensure consistent product data flow across: Procurement, Inventory management, Manufacturing, Sales and distribution
  • Support design of APIs, Data Management Framework (DMF), and Dual write‑ scenarios (as applicable).
  • Define data governance rules for product creation, maintenance, and approval and support data migration from legacy systems.
  • Partner with the QA team to create functional test scripts, support defect triage and resolution.
  • Validate PIM configurations prior to production deployment. Develop and deliver end-user‑ training materials for product management processes.
  • Assist with continuous improvement and optimization of PIM processes.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • 5+ years of experience implementing or supporting enterprise applications for large, global, multi‑channel retailers, manufacturers; apparel or footwear industry experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on‑ experience implementing or enhancing D365 ERP solutions.
  • Strong functional configuration expertise within the D365 PIM domain.
  • Basic knowledge of X++ and D365 extensibility concepts (for collaboration with developers).
    • Familiarity with would be nice to have: Azure Fundamentals or higher, Power Platform Fundamentals
    • Co-Pilot Studio,Data Management Framework (DMF)
    • Dual‑write and Power Platform integrations
    • Azure DevOps for backlog and testing management
  • Proven experience designing, evaluating, and implementing D365 extensions (UI, data, and behavioral), integrations, controls, and reporting solutions.
  • Strong conceptual or working knowledge of Azure, Power Platform, Copilot, agentic capabilities, and D365 integration architectures.
  • Experience with PTC Flex, Visionet Haute Logic, Visionet PartnerLinQ, o9, e2Open, EDI, Manhattan and eCommerce platforms are highly desirable.
  • Advanced experience with Azure DevOps and Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem and retail/manufacturing industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving‑, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, time, and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated accountability, confidentiality, and effective negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to identify implementation issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver practical, business aligned‑ solutions.

    Boston, MA Headquarters - (NB) Only Pay Range: $138,500.00 - $173,000.00 - $207,500.00 Annual (actual base pay varying based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, internal equity, geographic location, and more.)
