As a digitally enabled, innovation-focused division, SVVH is shaping the future of connected care through human-centred design, advanced analytics, and agile service delivery. Operating with a start-up mindset, we embrace emerging technologies, pioneer new models of care, and drive equitable access to health services for all communities.

About the Role – Functional Analyst

The Functional Analyst plays a key role in supporting the design, development and launch of innovative, accessible and person-centred virtual and home care products.

This role acts as the critical bridge between clinical, operational and digital teams—translating complex requirements into practical solutions that improve user experience, strengthen interoperability, and enhance the delivery of technology-enabled care.

You will analyse business processes, optimise digital workflows, support product testing and implementation, and contribute to data-driven insights that shape current and future models of connected care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate clinical, operational and consumer needs into clear functional requirements and user-centred digital solutions.

  • Analyse and optimise end-to-end processes to improve efficiency, interoperability and care outcomes.

  • Support the design, testing and implementation of digital health platforms and technology enhancements.

  • Liaise with clinicians, operational teams and developers to prioritise features and refine product requirements.

  • Produce user stories, process maps and functional specifications that enable safe, scalable virtual care delivery.

  • Monitor product performance, patient experience and usage trends to drive data-informed improvements.

  • Provide insights to support business cases, pricing and service optimisation across virtual and home services.

  • Contribute to innovation initiatives, integrating AI, automation and interoperability solutions where appropriate.

  • Deliver clear reporting and ensure compliance with clinical safety, privacy and regulatory standards.

About You

You will be a strategic thinker, strong communicator and problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, agile, technology-enabled environment. You bring:

Essential:

  • Proven experience of at least 4-5 years in a similar role

  • Demonstrated analytical and research capability with the ability to translate data into operational outcomes

  • Experience in digital transformation, virtual care or technology-enabled service delivery

  • Strong ability to convert consumer and clinical insights into actionable requirements

  • Proven capability in process improvement, service optimisation and driving excellence

  • Commercial, financial and strategic acumen

  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills

  • High levels of self-motivation, adaptability and initiative

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of emerging trends in healthcare, ageing, and digital technologies

  • Experience in not-for-profit, social enterprise or health sector environments

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in business analytics, information technology, health administration or a related field

Why Join SVHA?

  • Work with an award-winning organisation committed to transforming health and aged care

  • Be part of a bold, innovative team shaping the future of virtual and home-based care

  • Inclusive, values-driven culture founded on compassion, justice, integrity and excellence

  • Opportunities for professional growth, development and leadership

  • Access to salary packaging & wellbeing benefits
