Idaho Power (IPC) — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for a Functional Analyst II to join our Corporate Services and Communication team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Functional Analyst II do for us?

They deliver advanced analytical and functional support to the organization, ensuring optimal system performance and business alignment. Responsibilities include:

  • Configuring, administering, and supporting systems at an advanced level
  • Performing comprehensive workflow and interface analyses to identify efficiencies and improvements
  • Defining and documenting complex business requirements and processes with precision
  • Translating business needs into technical specifications and effectively communicating them to technical teams
  • Testing and implementing new processes and functionality to enhance system capabilities
  • Troubleshooting and documenting system and user issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining custom reports and queries to support data-driven decision-making

  • Hitachi- Asset Suite Software

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or field related to area supported

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and IT or business operations experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or field related to area supported

Experience:

  • 5 years of professional experience as an analyst in a related IT field or performing above duties in applicable system

OR

  • 5 years of IPC experience in related operational area and 2 years of experience in applicable system functionality


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time.  It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs.  The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
