MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistics & Operations: Organize storage areas, coordinate deliveries, operate fleet vehicles, forklifts/golf carts, and manage inventory across Campus locations.
Installation & Maintenance: Install furniture, perform physical tasks, complete work orders, and maintain campus facilities while ensuring workplace safety.
Event & Customer Support: Set up/break down event spaces and provide solution-focused service to the campus community Perform physical tasks and manual labor as required to ensure smooth operations.
Transportation & Deliveries: Deliver goods across Indianapolis Campus locations while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and providing solution focused service to the campus community.
Customer Service: Provide welcoming, solution-focused support to campus community.
Backup Support: Assist mailroom, shipping/receiving, maintenance, custodial and shuttle services as needed.
Communication & Safety: Complete assigned work orders, communicate with supervisors/team members, and report maintenance needs promptly while monitoring and maintaining safety standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently; heavier items with assistance.
The ability to move safely up and down stairs, service ramps, and or ladders.
Must be able to obtain and hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to travel to buildings within the Indianapolis service area utilizing College vehicles.
Proficient with hand/power tools and experienced in moving, delivering, and installing furniture and office equipment.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent required: additional education and training welcomed.
Understanding of inventory management practices and equipment assessment.
Core Skills: Strong teamwork, reliability, and customer service abilities.
Warehouse, transportation, logistics, or events set-up experience.
Experience working in an academic or state organization.
Facilities maintenance and equipment installation experience.
Must perform physical tasks including ladder work, overhead activities, bending, twisting, and working in various environmental conditions.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
