The Full Stack Software Engineer will design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient web applications leveraging modern technologies.   

**This is a hybrid role based at one of Collins’ major facilities. **

What YOU will do:

  • Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using React.js for front-end development and Python and node.js for back-end services.   

  • Build and deploy applications on AWS and Azure cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability.   

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and successful solution delivery, aligned with agile principles of teamwork and transparency.   

  • Write clean, testable, and efficient code with a strong emphasis on performance, scalability, maintainability, and comprehensive documentation to support long-term development.   

  • Integrate APIs and microservices to support enterprise-grade applications.   

  • Work with SQL databases to design, query, and optimize data storage solutions.   

  • Implement best practices for version control and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and other DevOps tools.   

  • Leverage knowledge of AI technologies, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to enhance application capabilities and workflows.   

  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies.   

  • Work in a highly regulated, security-conscious environment, ensuring compliance with industry standards.   

Qualifications YOU Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position (U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder)

  • Proficiency in React.js, Python, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.   

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).   

  • Strong understanding of front-end development, including responsive design and modern JavaScript frameworks.   

  • Knowledge of back-end development, including RESTful APIs and SQL database integration.   

Qualifications WE Prefer:

  • Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.   

  • Familiarity with AI technologies, including RAG, NLP, and related frameworks.   

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, define technical direction, and drive end-to-end solutions.   

  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and best practices.   

  • Demonstrated deep technical curiosity and the initiative to dive into complex challenges.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
