Full Stack Engineer - Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC)

Marysville, OH Full time

Here at Scotts Miracle-Gro there is no such thing as a typical day. Our culture is constantly energized by new and exciting growth opportunities and at a rapid pace. Below are details on an open job. If the role interests you and you would like to be considered we encourage you to apply!

We are seeking a talented Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Developer to join our local team in Marysville. In this role, you will be a key driver of our digital storefront's success, building seamless shopping experiences and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on our platform.

Inspired by the highest industry standards, we are looking for someone who takes "ownership" of the code they write—ensuring high-quality construction, site health, and performance. You will be part of a team that values innovation, a bias for action, and a commitment to delivering world-class customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • SFRA Development: Build, maintain, and optimize high-visibility features on the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C) platform using Storefront Reference Architecture (SFRA).

  • Technical Design: Translate functional requirements and high-level business goals into detailed SFCC technical designs and implementation plans.

  • Platform Governance: Proactively monitor and own platform health activities, including the review, mitigation, and resolution of error logs and site performance issues.

  • Gap Analysis: Perform thorough gap analysis between business requirements and out-of-the-box SFCC features to design effective customizations.

  • Integrations: Identify and manage third-party software integrations (Payment, OMS, CRM, Marketing Tools) and document the dependencies within the system ecosystem.

  • De-risking Delivery: Utilize proofs-of-concept (spike solutions) to validate technical approaches, provide accurate estimates, and de-risk complex feature rollouts.

  • End-to-End Support: Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to commerce implementation, including RESTful services and external API connections.

Required Skills & Experience

  • SFCC Expertise: Proven professional experience as a developer within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (B2C) ecosystem.

  • Architecture: Solid hands-on experience with SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture).

  • Full-Stack Proficiency: Strong knowledge of JavaScript (Controllers, Scripts, Models), HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end build tools.

  • Service Architecture: Experience with RESTful Service Architecture and integrating third-party APIs.

  • Commerce Lifecycle: Knowledge of the end-to-end Order Management (OMS) lifecycle and common e-commerce workflows.

  • Quality Mindset: A commitment to building a "quality engineering culture"—focusing on performance, scalability, security, and availability.

Professional Attributes

  • Bias for Action: You are constantly looking for ways to improve outcomes and the customer experience without waiting for a nudge.

  • Ambiguity Navigator: You thrive in fast-paced environments and are resourceful when faced with complex, ambiguous technical challenges.

  • Effective Communicator: Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills; able to establish working relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Data-Driven: Passionate about building innovative experiences backed by results and performance metrics.

Benefits & Environment

  • Local & Hybrid: Collaborate in person at our Marysville, OH office 3 days a week, with 2 days of remote flexibility.

  • Growth Potential: Join a team that values progression and rewards technical excellence.

  • Impact: Work on a platform that directly affects our global customer base and brand reputation.
