Full Case Picker - FT 2nd shift

Position Summary

The Full Case Picker is responsible for the timely and accurate picking of the “Case” pick portion of a store’s order. In addition to the primary job function of picking, he/she may also be responsible, when assigned, to perform other aspects of the Full Case department such as consolidation or pallet sorting. Colleagues are expected to keep work area neat and organized, adhere to all DC housekeeping practices (Clean as you go, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned by Dept. Supervisor, Lead or Shift Manager. Reassignment to other departments occurs as needed.

Starting rate $17.00 + $0.75 Shift Differential

Overview of Basic Job Functions:

  • Place ordered Full Case product on the conveyor belt or pallet (Machine Pick) using supplied Full Case bar code labels, in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Verify all batch labels are applied and placed on cartons in the upright position to insure accurate overhead scanning.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely placement of the “End of Wave Totes” onto the conveyor system.
  • Maintain up to date and accurate Full Case sign off sheets and production reporting paperwork.
  • Dispose of cardboard, paper and plastic shrink wrap into garbage chute.
  • Place damaged full case and/or piece quantities (crushed, broken, soiled, leaking, cut) in designated areas for Inventory Control disposition.
  • Must meet all Performance and Quality Standards as applicable to department.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be currently meeting or exceeding in all performance areas (productivity, quality, attendance, safety, teamwork).
  • Must be able to work overtime as required to ensure that all stores are serviced according to daily schedule.
  • Must have been in current position for 6 months or longer

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally.
  • Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, reach, and stoop on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to frequently and repetitively lift up to 80 pounds, occasionally to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work at and above ground level in multi-level modules.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be certified or have ability to be certified on all equipment needed to complete job tasks.
  • Able to work within a team and work independently with minimal supervision to complete assignments within established schedules and deadlines.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$16.00 - $23.56

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
