Purpose and Scope:
The Fuels Handling Equipment (FHE) Technician provides integrated logistics support to optimize the functional maintenance, accountability, and readiness of War Reserve Materiel (WRM) fuels assets in a Unity Type Code (UTC) configuration. This role ensures that all assigned assets are meticulously inspected, stored, and maintained to seamlessly activate and sustain contingency base operations and exercise support, which includes managing the out-load and reception of equipment.

Government will schedule attendance at FORCE Course within 12 months of employment, if necessary
Certification: National Petroleum Management Association Certified Petroleum Journeyman (CPJ) or equivalent certification is acceptable in place of fuels apprentice training.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste and smell. Requires climbing on ladders, scaffolding, and platforms standing, bending, and working in cramped areas; lifting and carrying tools and equipment which occasionally may weigh over 40 pounds. Specific vision, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
