Job Details:
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, accurately documenting and calculating results, and taking corrective action when necessary. This includes alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying and segregating non-conforming product, and reporting results to management. Additional assignments may be requested as needed. All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to personal safety and food safety.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other relevant QA experience required.
Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Skills: Must possess the ability to complete Tyson paperwork; lead by example and motivate hourly team members; identify and solve problems effectively; apply strong math and organizational skills; and read and interpret product specifications. Must be able to function well under stress and have the flexibility to work where and when needed.
Physical Requirements: This position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
