Job Description:

We are seeking a Software Developer with extensive experience related to front-end software development and is capable of not only delivering a capability in that form but can also pass their knowledge on to others. The candidate will be responsible for creating the user facing side of the application as it operates in a web page. The candidate will take requirements from a teammate with User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) expertise in the form of wireframes, site maps, diagrams/schematics, process maps, feature lists, mock-ups and visual specifications. Lean Agile is the development process used on the team so familiarity with that methodology is key. The ability to seamlessly connect the front end of the application to the data tier via the microservices and middleware components is expected. Responsibility for development of unit tests and the automated execution of those tests as well as participation in end-to-end testing is required. Estimation of cost and schedule for enhancements and/or new requirements is also expected.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience in developing and refining ranking algorithms and models, designing and implementing indexing and retrieval systems, and collaborating with the data scientist and NLP engineer.
• Experience with primary languages of Vue, Node.js, JavaScript.
• Front End Skills: Single Page Applications (Vue, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML), Responsive Design
• Documented Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Excellent knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Back End Skills: Microservices, REST, Node.js, Nest.js \n- Build Tools: Maven, Gradle, Git, tactical and strategic improvements to large scale Java/J2EE/ products.

• Education: BA/BS in Information Technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

• Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI with Polygraph

The likely salary range for this position is $138,063 - $186,791. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
