Responsibilities

  • Design and Development: Define, design, and develop major new features for current and future products, ensuring high-quality delivery on schedule.

  • Code Quality: Write clean, testable, and reliable code, deploying continuously to large-scale, globally distributed production systems.

  • Collaboration: Partner with designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver enhancements, platform improvements, and critical bug fixes.

  • Engineering Excellence: Participate in code reviews to foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.

  • Problem Solving: Tackle complex engineering and user experience challenges by delivering elegant, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.

  • Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of key features and product areas that directly impact millions of users worldwide.

  • Operational Reliability: Deploy, monitor, and operate production systems with a steadfast focus on performance, stability, and reliability.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay proactive in exploring creative solutions and continuously improving team development practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 3+ years of professional software development experience.

  • CS Fundamentals: Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

  • Frontend Expertise: Advanced knowledge of responsive web development with a strong command of HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

  • Framework Proficiency: Deep technical knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, Angular) and Node.js.

  • Modern Toolstack: Experience with modern web tools and libraries, such as Webpack, Babel, Redux Toolkit, Storybook, Atomic CSS, and RESTful APIs.

  • Quality Assurance: Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Selenium, or Playwright (preferred).

  • Performance & Stability: Proven track record in web performance optimization, application stability, and debugging for large-scale applications.

  • Architecture Awareness: Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, CI/CD practices, and code organization.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in high-pressure situations.

  • Modern Workflow: Proficiency in AI-assisted coding tools to optimize development velocity and maintain high code quality.

  • Language & Location: Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential. Must be located in Taiwan for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the relevant industry or domain is highly desirable.

  • Advanced Technologies: Experience with GraphQL, cloud computing (AWS preferred), and modern data fetching strategies.

  • Observability: Proficiency in monitoring and logging stacks, such as Prometheus, Splunk, or Datadog.

  • Agile Mindset: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with a focus on iterative delivery.

  • Innovation: Proven ability to take initiative, think innovatively, and drive technical improvements independently.
