Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)

At IQVIA’s Centre for Health Data Semantics, we build a world‑class ontology management platform that helps standardize healthcare data - enabling better patient outcomes and safer care globally.

As a Frontend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering intuitive, high‑quality user experiences for our platform, taking ownership of new features and continuous improvements used by customers worldwide.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate on requirements analysis and provide input on UI/UX design
• Develop modern web applications using React and Next.js
• Build clean, reusable, and scalable frontend components
• Implement automated end‑to‑end UI tests
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to high engineering standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Work closely with backend engineers and domain experts in healthcare

Must haves

• 3+ years of commercial experience as a Frontend / Web Engineer
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.js
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Working proficiency in English (international, distributed team)

Nice to have

• Experience with Next.js, Tailwind, Storybook, Vercel, or Playwright
• Interest in the healthcare domain, especially:
  • System interoperability
  • Data standardization
  • Complex, data‑driven applications

How we work

• Hybrid setup:
  • 1 day per week in the office (typically Mondays)
  • The rest of the week working remotely
• Office location: Budapest
  (Candidates outside Budapest are welcome if they can commute weekly)
