Job Summary: The National Security Agency (NSA) is currently seeking experienced Front End Web Developers to join the NSA Web team responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art websites and web applications for the Agency intranet.

Major Duties:

  • As a Front End Web Developer, your responsibilities may include: - consulting extensively with customers to elicit project requirements, provide content strategy services, and establish and communicate project timelines and milestones - collaborating with team members, as needed, to ensure technical solutions are implemented to meet project requirements - communicating ideas through low and high fidelity mockups - designing, developing, and implementing user-friendly, professional, visually-pleasing, accessible websites and user-interfaces for web applications - provide customer service support on web based tools

Qualifications: The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree must be in Web Design or Web Development, or a related field (for example, Web Technologies, Computer Science, Programming, Visual Communications, UI/UX, Graphic Design). FULL PERFORMANCE Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience. Relevant experience must be a combination of both web design and web development. Web design may include: web layout, graphic web design and navigation principles, information architecture, content strategy, usability, user-centered design, using graphic design software. Web development may include: using web-authoring software, web programming languages. SENIOR Entry is with a high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience must be a combination of web design, web development, and project management. Web design may include: web layout, graphic web design and navigation principles, information architecture, content strategy, usability, user-centered design, using graphic design software. Web development may include: using web-authoring software, web programming languages. Project management experience must include leading one or more web projects. Additionally, must have experience applying current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
