In This Role

We are seeking a Front-End Software Engineer with expertise in web user experience (UX) and hands-on development using React. In this role, you will design, build, test, and optimize scalable web interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into intuitive, high-performing UI solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop responsive, accessible, and user-centric web interfaces using React, modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Collaborate with UX designers to implement wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI components.

  • Optimize application performance for speed, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, well-structured, and reusable code.

  • Integrate front-end features with back-end APIs and services (REST or GraphQL).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues across multiple browsers and devices.

  • Contribute to component libraries, design systems, and front-end development standards.

  • Evaluate user needs and project requirements to estimate development timelines and constraints.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human–Computer Interaction, or related field.

  • 2–4+ years of professional experience building modern web applications, with a focus on web UX and React.

  • Strong understanding of user-centered design, accessibility best practices, and modern web UX patterns.

  • Proficiency with React, React Hooks, TypeScript/JavaScript, and state management tools (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Recoil).

  • Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Flexbox/Grid, and responsive design.

  • Hands-on experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs and handling client-side data flow.

  • Experience building scalable, maintainable front-end architectures.

  • Familiarity with front-end build pipelines and tools (Webpack, Vite, ESLint, etc.).

  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate within cross-functional teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.

Preferred:

  • 3–5 years of experience in web UX implementation and responsive UI development.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate UX/UI designs into high-quality interfaces while following accessibility standards (a11y) and performance optimization.

  • Familiarity with component libraries and design system contributions.

  • Exposure to CI/CD practices for front-end deployments.

Salary Range 

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $100,000- $110,000 USD annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
