Hourly base pay rate is $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position is responsible for safely picking up, storing, loading transports and setting non-drivable vehicles for sale with the use of a Front End Loader/Forklift equipped with 18 foot forks. Vehicles are of varying sizes and conditions, with loose or hanging parts; attention to detail and safety is essential in protecting employees and customers. This Position is also responsible for providing general mechanical and automotive services on auction property, as well as over-the-road and on-site towing service to disabled customer vehicles in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.
Conduct daily pre-trip safety inspections before beginning work for the day.
Make minor adjustments and/or request repairs in writing to the mechanic or supervisor.
Safely load, unload, rearrange, and maneuver Forklift/Loader with 18 ft forks throughout the auction lot.
Read stock numbers on the computer screen and verify the stock number and vehicle information directly from the vehicle before loading on forks.
Move vehicles to inventory staging, sale stalls, or storage as determined by lot location paperwork or computer screens.
Operates fork lift on auction lot as needed.
Move vehicles into the garage or other sheltered areas for insurance inspections, vehicle repairs, or as requested by supervisor.
Load vehicles on transports or fleet trucks for transportation off the lot.
Assist with coordinating vehicle movement, staging, and sale day readiness to support client SLA's and sale run processes.
Support communication between auction departments to ensure timely movement, organization, and reconditioning of client inventory.
Assist in addressing basic client inquiries related to vehicle location, condition, or discrepancies by partnering with the Accounts Operations Specialist II and auction leadership.
Demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and customer focused mindset when interacting with internal teams and external clients.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field.
OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline;
OR 5 years’ experience in a related field
Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required
