Front End Loader Operator – Byford Concrete Plant
About the Role
Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced Front End Loader Operator to join the team at our Byford Concrete Plant and supporting other nearby by concrete operations. You’ll support daily processing activities by safely operating mobile plant, managing raw material movement and maintaining consistent feed to the fixed plant.
You will also assist in maintaining a clean and productive site. This is a hands-on role in a busy concrete environment where safety, teamwork and reliability are essential. Further opportunities to enhance your skills are also available within the concrete operations team while undertaking this role.
In your new role, you will be:
- Operating a front-end loader to feed bins, load trucks and manage stockpiles
- Supporting production by maintaining steady material flow across the plant
- Completing daily pre-start checks and reporting maintenance issues promptly
- Working closely with the concrete team to meet production and safety targets
- Maintaining clean, safe, stockpiles and work areas
- Following all Heidelberg Materials safety procedures and site standards
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience operating a front-end loader in quarry, construction or similar environments
- Valid loader ticket and driver’s licence
- Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices
- Ability to work efficiently around fixed and mobile plant
- A reliable, proactive and team-focused attitude
