What Reception contributes to Cardinal Health
Business & Administrative Support is responsible for assisting general business operations by providing an array of administrative and data support activities.
The Receptionist greets visitors to the organization’s facilities and ensures that they are directed to the correct location and received by appropriate Cardinal Health team members. The Receptionist I contributes to Cardinal Health’s customer service reputation through positive interactions with visitors, and also promotes safety and compliance by ensuring the proper registration and escorting of visitors. This job also answers incoming telephone calls and completes routine clerical and administrative duties.
Responsibilities
Located at the front entrance to the facility, the receptionist greets external and internal visitors, such as clients, vendors, contractors, temporary employees, and job candidates. Records visitor arrivals and makes contact with internal team members to receive visitors.
Maintains visitor registration logs, confirms visitor credentials, and prints visitor badges. Through coordination with facilities staff and other internal team members, ensures that all visitors are escorted throughout the facility in compliance with internal policies.
Coordinates with Transportation Department to receive and properly file shipping logs, using basic knowledge of physical filing practices.
Answers incoming telephone calls, including calls from vendors and contractors, and routes them to the proper office or person. Answers basic questions about the organization and facility as appropriate.
Completes other clerical tasks related to filing, documentation, and events (such as new hire orientations) as requested.
Qualifications
0-2 years of experience, preferred
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
Medical Office experience, highly preferred
Bilingual Spanish, required
