Working Schedule
Sunday-Wednesday from 5:00am-3:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
● Build, update and monitor inbound and outbound orders in TMS (Transportation Management Software) program ● Monitor TMS programs to confirm efficient on-time pickups and deliveries, proper documentation and carrier information ● Tender loads daily to carrier marketplace and confirm all loads are assigned to a carrier ● Respond promptly to carrier and vendor inquiries regarding, but not limited to, appointments, breakdowns, directions, and product count discrepancies ● Contact customers, carriers and vendors regarding appointments, times changes and updates ● Maintain accurate records in all TMS modules ● Promptly manage carrier reports of overs, shorts or damages to minimize company’s liability ● Maintain all food safety, housekeeping and other applicable standards ● Regular and consistent attendance ● Other duties as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
● High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred ● Transportation or freight coordination experience preferred ● Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources ● Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of team member and company information ● Accuracy and attention to detail ● Proficient in computer usage to include email, word processing spreadsheets ● Knowledge of computer software and applications ● Ability to learn basic DOT regulations ● Ability to learn Transportation Management software ● Ability to communicate clearly on the phone with customers ● Ability to read small print on paperwork, with or without corrective lenses ● Able to read, write, speak and understand English ● Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as required ● Ability to Travel (minimal, less than 10%)
Environmental Job Conditions:
● Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally ● Must be able to sit on an almost continual basis and stand, walk, bend, or squat on an occasional basis in a normal office environment ● Ability to utilize equipment for the job (such as computers, cell phone, copiers, scanners, printers, etc) ● Frequent to continual usage of keyboard and monitor
