Freelance, VP, Integrated Investment

Position Overview

The Freelance VP, Integrated Investment, is a senior client group leadership role, managing client media spends across TV, Print and Digital specialist groups. The VP, must act as the integrated buying leader for UM clients, driving collaboration, excellence, and quality of product across all channels to deliver the most strategic, holistic, and integrated investment solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with UM Strategy, Analytics and Business leaders to build outstanding relationships with clients based on trust, advocacy in the marketplace and a clear understanding of clients’ business objectives.
  • Articulate and synthesize various trends and behaviors emerging in the marketplace to ensure our teams make them real in recommendations to clients.
  • Facilitate “intelligent investment” techniques across partner evaluation, partnership development, negotiation, and stewardship, to deliver maximum strategic value and efficiency.
  • Elevate media partner relationships to drive client opportunities, first looks, break through barriers, etc.
  • Ensure every specialist Investment team is regularly applying best in class tools and processes to deliver recommendations that drive client KPI’s and business objectives
  • Act as a catalyst for innovation & experimentation that drives cutting edge Investment solutions
  • Develop creative, cross-channel partnership solutions, amplified across all paid, owned and earned environments
  • Drive holistic Video solutions across TV, VOD, Online Video, place-based video, cinema, etc.
  • Employ audience-focused strategies that leverage IPG’s proprietary data and technology (e.g., AMP, programmatic) across Digital and Traditional media channels.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong operational capabilities
  • Experience developing TV/Digital solutions for clients with consideration of the unique (and combined) roles played by different channels within an overall communications solution
  • Strong media marketplace knowledge and consideration of what drives the most successful consensus between media partners, clients, and agencies
  • High level sales and marketing relationships with all major media partners
  • Ability to build Strong, trust-based relationships with clients, to make an impact on their business, and to showcase the talent and accomplishments of your entire team(s)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional management, organizational and responsiveness skills

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ experience in Media Investment roles
  • 5+ years’ experience managing and developing large staffs across multiple teams
  • Passion for and experience with instituting TV/Digital go to market structure and approach

Wage and Benefits

The compensation for this position is $100/hour.  Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
