Freelance - Content Entry

We’re looking for a freelance Content Editor to support a short engagement for website content updates using Contentful.

This is a hands-on, non-technical role focused on entering and maintaining content rather than strategy or development. You’ll be working with an existing content model and some pre-built components to create and update pages, you will have to add some components to pages and ensure content is well-structured, selecting appropriate imagery from a pre-existing bank that work well together within established layouts. You will work closely with the Delivery Manager and the client to do this. 

Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Entering and updating text content in Contentful
  • Creating and populating content entries using existing components
  • Formatting content so it displays correctly across pages
  • Selecting and placing images that suit the content and layout
  • Making small content updates and fixes as required
  • Following clear content guidelines and templates

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical content work, is comfortable working independently, and doesn’t require heavy technical or strategic responsibilities.

Required skills

  • Hands-on experience using Contentful as a content editor or something similar
  • Comfortable with content entry, page creation, and content updates
  • Experience working with structured content and reusable components
  • Excellent written English and attention to detail
  • Ability to choose suitable images for web content (no design work required)
  • Confident following content models, templates, and guidelines
  • Reliable, organised, and able to manage tasks independently

Timings
This work is starting on 19th January and runs until 6th February. The working pattern within this timescale consists of 7 days work up front, then a short break followed by 3 further days. 10 working days in total.
