This position will fulfill the role of a Multi-Line Claim Recovery Technician (Fraud, Subrogation, Deductibles & Salvages) from the first notification of loss to a timely, accurate and customer-focused resolution, performing the corresponding recovery quantum analysis throughout the claim’s lifecycles.
How you will create an impact
Manage an updated inventory of all salvage and cases referred to recovery.
Negotiate the best conditions with suppliers and potential buyers.
Identify opportunities to improve results for the benefit of the Company.
Audit the work of key suppliers ensuring compliance with the best practices.
Perform buyer analysis and ensure compliance with internal policies.
Establish the processes of the area according to the best practices.
Resolve complex-level claims and recoveries handled by the team.
Ensure accurate and consistent reserving and financial control of claims.
Mitigate indemnity and expense spending in claims while ensuring claims are accurately assessed within policy limits.
Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrate vendor management skills and experience.
Implement procedures to maximize business results within the work unit.
Any additional related tasks.
What you’ll need to succeed
Bachelor’s Degree and/or the equivalent of education and experience in related area.
This position is suitable for candidates with experience in claims handling.
Adjusters License preferred.
Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
Knowledge of insurance regulatory and/or procedural requirements in Puerto Rico.
Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Bilingual - Excellent written & verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Effective communication, time management, administrative and report-writing skills.
Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a strong attention to detail.
Collaborative skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment, with other units within/outside the department and companywide.
Customer service oriented.
