Job Description

Position overview:

This role is to provide detailed reporting of Fraud performance across Europe by displaying trends in Fraud specific metrics. The analyst will also be involved in projects to help improve existing automation of daily tasks and to provide insight into ad hoc monitoring issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be tasked with creation of MIS (monthly and ad hoc) for the visualisation of Fraud data across key metrics. As part of a small team of reporting specialists, the chosen applicant will work with various online and local data sources to display trends and risks across Elavon’s EU portfolio so must be comfortable to work with large volumes of data with high precision. The applicant will also have the responsibility to maintain existing automation codebase for data sourcing, processing and reporting as well as have the opportunity to develop their own solutions to help reduce manual workload for the Fraud Management EU team.

Finally, they will serve as backup for the purpose of PSD2 Fraud Reference Rate monitoring and Fraud Statistical reporting for both the European Banking Authority and European Central Bank.  

In depth training on all aspects of the role will be supplied and the role would be suitable for anyone comfortable working with data via the below systems and tools.

Role Requirements

Must have:

  • Coding experience and deep understanding of Python 3.10 and higher (pandas, selenium, SQLalchemy etc.),

  • Familiarity with Oracle DB and SQL Server based data sources

  • Ability to utilize above skills to obtain, fuse and filter data from various sources,

  • Analytic, problem-solving mind-set with high attention to detail as the role entails delivery of regulatory reports,

  • Quick learner with ability to adapt to new software tools and automation platforms,

  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualisation and dashboarding

  • Knowledge of any additional programming languages

  • Basic knowledge of payment card business sector / transactions’ life cycle would be welcome.

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
