The Position
This position leads a team of 5-8 (Senior) Supply Chain Planning Specialists and Associate Directors, who are responsible for maintaining supply to markets, meeting inventory targets and making the most efficient use of site resources for the manufacturing and packaging of both in-line products as well as new product introductions.
The team is responsible for implementing supply chain initiatives and plans in support of tactical and strategical divisional priorities. The Associate Director Supply Chain Management has strong leadership qualities and is responsible for developing the individual team members and the team as a whole.
In addition of acting as primary contact between the Hub and the manufacturing sites (or tolling partners), responsible for establishing efficient and structural interaction, the Associate Director Supply Chain Management will also be expected to lead strategic initiatives and/or manage strategic relationships from a supply chain perspective.
Responsibilities
Primary activities include, but are not limited to:
Manage a team of E2E Supply Chain Planners: The Associate Director Supply Chain Management is a people-manager with the ability to develop his individual team members and the team as a whole, who motivates them towards continuous improvement, with strong leadership qualities, interpersonal and communication skills, proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, and the ability to anticipate and solve problems. The Associate Director Supply Chain Management is responsible for the annual cycle of people management activities.
Acts as primary supply chain contact for the designated Franchise. It includes close collaboration with manufacturing sites and OCO (Global Brand Leads): The Associate Director Supply Chain Management is the primary point of contact with leadership positions at the manufacturing sites. Responsibilities include addressing and mitigating bottleneck situations, engaging the site in structural improvements in the supply chain, connecting the various nodes of the supply chain and facilitating an end-to-end planning process. Also responsible for jointly developing and monitoring progress in the annual Volume Plan and Inventory Plan process.
Support continuous improvement activities and strategic initiatives: The Associate Director Supply Chain Management will support and initiate continuous improvement and strategic activities both at the Hub as well as in the end-to-end supply chain.
The Associate Director Supply Chain Management will be able to represent the Hub in other forums.
Relationship Management: The Associate Director Supply Chain Management may also be the designated Organon representative to manage strategic relationships/alliances with external partners from a supply chain perspective.
Member of the extended Hub leadership team and key member of the Hub Operations Team.
Act as a team with the fellow Associate Director Supply Chain Management and align on yearly priorities and objectives
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Hands on Supply Chain Planning experience
Affinity of working within a regulated industry
Knowledge of Supply Chain Operations and Management
Strong leadership skills, ability to manage a team of 5-10 professionals
SAP knowledge
MS Office experience (proficient Excel user)
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Decent level of planning system experience and knowledge (SAP and IBP)
Effective interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both operational personnel as well as senior leaders
Ability to represent Organon interests towards third parties and manage strategic relationships
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Must be able to manage multiple priorities
Able to function well in a cross-cultural environment
