The FP&A department is looking for a FP&A Intern to join their team in Eden Prairie!

Position Summary:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern will play a critical role within the Finance organization, supporting budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis across the business. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world financial decision-making, executive-level reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. The FP&A Intern will assist in analyzing financial performance, identifying trends, and delivering insights that help drive informed business decisions. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Complete and present a capstone project related to department business needs. This will include research, analysis, and presenting the overall findings and suggestions to peers and Cambria Leaders. 

  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans through data collection, modeling, and variance analysis.

  • Assist in monthly financial reporting, including management reports, KPI dashboards, and performance summaries.

  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives, cost optimization efforts, and strategic projects.

  • Help identify trends, risks, and opportunities through detailed financial and operational data analysis.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, Sales, and other departments to gather inputs and validate assumptions.

  • Support process improvement initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.

  • Assist in maintaining financial models and ensuring data integrity across systems 

  • Gain exposure to executive-level presentations and business reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of financial concepts including income statements, cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic modeling); experience with PowerPoint preferred.

  • Ability to interpret data, summarize insights, and communicate findings clearly.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Aptitude and eagerness to learn, ask questions, and work in a team-based environment.

  • Preferred skills: financial modeling, data visualization tools or basic analytics exposure.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or a related program. Expected graduation date of 2026, 2027, and 2028.

Experience: Some experience in a related field preferred

Systems: Microsoft Office, Google Suites, exposure to financial planning software is a plus.

Managerial Responsibilities: No

Travel Requirements: Limited travel locally (Eden Prairie, Le Sueur, and Belle Plaine)

Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally / sparingly (office supplies, packages, samples). May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally. Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer

Program Dates: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026; M-F; 40 hour work week
