We are seeking a passionate Foundation Skills Trainer to deliver high‑quality, learner‑centred training that supports vocational students to build confidence, capability and successful learning outcomes. This casual role is ideal for educators who enjoy working with diverse learners and want to apply their teaching expertise in a niche, purpose‑driven training environment.

What you will do:

  • Deliver engaging Foundation Skills training across campus‑based, online and workplace settings
  • Source, develop and contextualise training and learning resources to meet diverse learner needs
  • Develop and implement assessment tools and strategies, including Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate, compliant training and assessment records
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated training approaches
  • Contribute to quality assurance, evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain professional currency in foundation skills, industry practice and compliance requirements

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in supporting diverse cohorts of learners on campus and online. To be successful in this role you will require;

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)
  • TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set
  • TAE80113 Graduate Diploma of Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Practice (or equivalent TAE70111) or A Bachelor of Education, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Education, or higher
  • Technically capable with knowledge of learning management systems, Moodle preferred
  • Demonstrable expertise, knowledge and skills in the vocational contextualisation and assessment of core foundation skills
