Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Completed a Medical Assistant Program or have the equivalent experience of 3 years as a Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant
- Tactful and diplomatic interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally resolve conflict
- Adaptability to changing environments as assistance in other offices may be required
- Ability to work effectively and thrive in a team-based setting
Responsibilities:
- Greet and room patients, take vitals, and perform initial intake regarding reason for visit
- Confirm history, medications, and update the electronic medical record as appropriate
- Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures
- Communicate testing results with patients as directed by providers
- Run point of care testing, help collect and organize samples to be sent to the laboratory
- Help coordinate care in terms of responding to patient calls, scheduling appointments, and communicating with other offices as needed
- Ensure patient care rooms are neat and stocked with essential supplies for the day
- Help maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff
- Make meaningful connections and make a difference to the people in our community!

Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in public contact job, preferably in healthcare setting
- One year experience in a medical practice or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office workflow
- Working knowledge of Epic EMR system and common Windows software applications
- Knowledge of standard precautions, safe workplace, and confidentiality methods
